Fazana (www.fazana.hr) is situated 5 km north-west of Pula. During the time of Yugoslavia foreigners could not have come to this region but nowadays the area has become one of the most attractive tourist destinations for vacation makers. Fazana is an old small village with a complete tourist infrastructure. A post office, bank, and a lot of small cafes, shops and markets are available in the town. There is a beautiful embankment with a small marine and also a pedestrian path along the coast. Few times per day the boat Perojka goes from Fazana [mosimage}to Brioni archipelago, a National Park that consists of the 14 small islands where you can see the remains of the Roman civilisation, African animals, Josip Broz Tito residence etc.
A kilometer south of the Bi-Village is another camp site, Puntizela with a diving centre. One of the well known monuments in Pula is the Roman Arena which is the fifth largest amphitheatres in the world. During the summer different cultural public shows like Pula film festival, concerts and so on take place in the Arena. Registered in the Guinness book of records, Hum, the smallest city in the world is situated in Istria at some 60 km from Fazana. This small town is well known for its home made alcoholic drink called Humska Biska made with a recipe that originated from the 7th century. In the city of Motovun (70km from Fazana) you can enjoy truffles.
The biggest truffle in the world was found between Buzet and Motovun and this fact, as well, is in the Guinness book of records. Umag is a city (80 km from Fazana) that is only 4 km from Slovenia and 40 km away from Italy. It is known for the ATP tennis tournament that is held every August. The city of Porec (50 km from Fazana) and Rovinj (30 km from Fazana) are known for the big tourist complexes and medieval streets in Venetian style. There are a lot of night clubs, restaurants and other entertainment places like Porec aquarium etc. Tourists can visit Venice from Porec, Rovinj and Pula with a one-day excursion. The trip with a speed-boat to Venice take about 2.5 hour. The channel Lim is a naturally made fiord and it is also National Park with two nice restaurants at the se side where quality sea food is served and the main course is local oysters from the Lim.
